FREEDOM - With the Venerable Palden Gyatso
In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (December 10th, 1948) Freedom chronicles the life of Palden Gyatso, a Tibetan monk. It is a story of tragedy, triumph, and hope. Enduring 33 years of torture, brutal beatings, and ritual humiliation at the hands of the Chinese government, Gyatso is a true example of the resiliency of the human spirit. Today, he speaks out against human rights violations, promoting awareness, and encouraging active participation in this pursuit of human rights equality.

Human Rights Violations occur daily. In every country, people are exploited, beaten, suppressed and their inherent freedom's denied.

To stop these atrocities, we must all play a role in creating a better world. The choice is yours and the question is; where will you start?
