2) Stretching and Flexibility Exercises:
Stress and anxiety are often the result of changes we experience in our life.
They may originate in the mind, but they don’t stay there. This stress
and anxiety takes up residence in our musculoskeletal system, bringing with
them muscular tension and sometimes even structural imbalance. Muscles and their
tendons attach to bones, therefore muscle tension can pull unevenly on bony
structures and may pull the spine back out of alignment even after the initial
correction and as the body is restoring itself to better alignment. As a result,
due to a lack of normal nerve transmission from the brain to the various tissues
throughout the entire body, the healing and recovery process is adversely affected.
